What I Did Last Weekend and What I’m Doing Next Week

Sorry for the late update. Summer is here and things have been very busy. The rainy season is over and the heat has come to stay.

Last weekend, I played in an Ajata tournament. It was a lot of fun. In ajata, a team of six people attempt to throw 100 beanbags into a small basket placed about four meters off the ground. We competed against fifteen other teams. Here is our team, the Fireballs:

Sadly to say, we did not do very well. We placed fourteenth out of sixteen. But, next fall there is another tournament and we shall prevail!

Now, next week is also very exciting for us. A young lady from the Philippines will be staying with us on a homestay. We volunteer with the group, The APCC (Asia Pacific Youth Conference). This will be the third time we’ve done this and we’re very excited. On Wednesday night, we’re going to have a somen party with a bunch of the students and our homestay guest. Should be lots of fun.

If you are at all interested in the APCC, check out their website at http://www.apcc.gr.jp/ It’s a great organization and a ton of fun.
