Travel Class – Unit 5, Ordering in a Restaurant

Well, now that we’ve checked into the hotel and got settled in, it’s time for something to eat. Let’s head off to the restaurant and grab a bite. Come on.

Listen to the dialogue Ordering in a Restaurant.

Now try to fill in the blanks.

Server: Hi, I’m Ursula. Can I get you something to _________________?
Paulo: Yes, I’d like an iced tea and I’m also ready to __________. I’ll just have a ____________ of soup and a salad.
Server: Sure, no problem. What kind of soup would you like? We have ____________ ________________, minestrone, and cream of mushroom.
Paulo: Do you have something that’s hearty?
Server: If you want something hearty, I would suggest our clam chowder or ________ _______________.
Paulo: I’ll take a bowl of beef stew.
Server: Great! What kind of salad would you like: a chef salad, Caesar salad, or Cobb salad?

Server: Okay, what kind of dressing would you like?
